Bu sayfa nasıl okunur
Her madde bir kaynağın söylediğinin sadeleştirilmiş hâlidir. "Doğrulanmış" etiketi, aynı şeyi birbirinden bağımsız en az iki kurumun söylediği anlamına gelir; "ikincil kaynak" etiketi tek kurumun söylediği anlamına gelir. İkisi de yayınlanır, ikisi de etiketiyle durur.

Do not treat a fan as cooling on its own. Fans create air flow and a false sense of comfort, but do not reduce body temperature or prevent heat-related illnesses; do not direct the flow of a portable fan toward yourself when the room temperature is hotter than 90 °F (32 °C).

Never leave anyone, person or animal, in a closed car, even with the windows down, even for just a minute. The temperature inside rises quickly to a dangerous level; a dark dashboard or car seat can reach 180 °F to over 200 °F (80 to 90 °C and above). Even on mild days in the 70s °F (around 20 °C) the inside of a parked vehicle becomes dangerous.

If the door stays closed, food keeps for about 4 hours in a refrigerator, 48 hours in a full freezer and 24 hours in a half-full freezer. Throw away meat, fish, milk, eggs, cut fruit and vegetables and leftovers that have been without power for more than 4 hours. Never taste food to know if it is safe to eat.
